NOTE: It’s amazing how little work one appears to accomplish on the surface… lots learned today, despite the meager writing. Took the advice of coaches Andy and Reiko and stopped just focusing on the meaning of my kanji and worked on the sound/readings. (I hate this word “readings” by the way… can you tell?) I’m not “reading” it… I’m “sounding it out.” But, I’m F’n weird.

I suppose.

Anyway. A lot learned. Will keep using this book. I bought it a considerable number of years ago… note the completely backward understanding of kunyomi and onyomi…

Ever wonder why I’m so insistent on the need for a personal tutor when it comes to being serious about your Japanese? I WAS serious and was entirely incorrect. Spend the money where and when it makes sense.

P.S. When you land on 休日 and don’t immediately recognize it’s meaning… it’s time to call it a night.
