Makin’ my coaches proud today.

Hiragana practice wrapped yesterday. I stopped with the main syllabary, and will fold reviews naturally into my handwriting within the regular program. Today, I switched to the more commonly used radicals as per the instruction of my humble Japanese drill sergeant, Andy Foord in London.

His suggestion? This common kanji radicals list from benricho.org. It is AWESOME.

So far so good. The nice thing was being able to quickly write the hiragana underneath to serve as my pronunciation without the crutch of romaji. Took but a few days. Tonight I had to remind myself of ら, but otherwise, I could recall everything immediately.
